. . .A storm that caused a power outage in the Midwest may have been a factor in Hudson’s ouster, TV entertainment newsmagazine “Extra” said Thursday.

More than 15,000 people in Hudson’s hometown of Chicago were unable to watch the show or dial in Tuesday night, when the vote turned out to be the closest in the show’s three-year history, “Extra” said . . .

I still don't watch. . .there are baseball games on, people!  Now tell me that this silly show is more important than BASEBALL!

i heard bout that power outage thing.....

oh...and when your b-ball team is the Mets, as mine is, yes, I'd rather watch american idol than watch the Mets get slaughtered as usual.... :D

Honestly, who cares about Jennifer Hudson getting the boot? It's not like she was going to win.

It's going to come down to Fantasia and LaToya in the end, it has to, they are the only two left with actual talent.

Next Week:
Gloria Estefan!

WHO WILL BECOME THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL?

In the round of seven, Jennifer wasn't able to handle the music of Barry Manilow. Now that we're in the round of six, who will be able to handle the music of Gloria Estefan? The rhythm is gonna get American Idol this week as the contestant take on Ms. Estefan's upbeat numbers.

Who will make the Miami Sound Machine proud? And who buckle in the face of increasing pressure? Find out during another round of live performance this Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX!

Then come back Wednesday at 8:30/7:30 for the live results. Only five can move on, so another one's going home!

honestly, I think it's too hard to tell.....a lot of people thought Hudson was going all the way, and she's out already....i like La Toya though and hope she sticks around....

I think it's pretty safe to assume that a girl is going to win it this year!

for performances tonight i'd have to say La Toya and Jasmine were my 2 faves, then Fantasia, then Diana.

Really??

Diana was by far the best of the night, followed by La Toya and Jasmine...

1.  Diana
2.  La Toya
3.  Jasmine
4.  George
5.  Fantasia
6.  John

i don't think the the bottom three will be the way I have it, but i seriously think it's time for stevens to go home already.  That was the worst performance by a finalist I have ever seen on the show....
