I believe in God

This is a little off-topic, but in school we're learning about Jesus as more of a historical figure rather than a faith icon, and it's very very interesting! I look to him as both!

But you get drugs plus the mother gets the favour of the custody over the kids if divorce arises

I really think you should shut up. If you had to endure 9 months of carrying a child, massive mood swings, not being able to drink or eat certain things, morning sickness, stretch marks, the intense pain of childbirth and a real possibility of post natal depression while your partner gets to go down the pub then i think you'd want custody too.

Blah blah blah.  Men suffer their share as well.

If a dad stays home and takes care of the kids people think he's a dead beat.  If a woman does it shes a good mother.  Fair?  No.

If a woman can't open a jar of peanut butter it's cute... if a man can't he's a sissy?

If a woman goes to a bar she can go with 10 bucks and expect to have drink bought for her when she wants.  If a guy goes to a bar he has to take a min of 60 bucks if he wants to meet women.

If a man and a woman go out on a first date and the man doesn't pay for the entire date than there is a 90% chance he's not getting a 2nd date (obv there are exceptions... but MOST of the time).

Women don't have to deal with PROSTATE exams.  Women have a longer life expectancy by something like 8 years.  Women get the more expensive wedding ring.  Women get WEDDINGS (you think MEN want those?!?).  Men have HEART problems women don't.

I am NOT saying men have it worse than women by ANY means.  I am just saying that for everything you can list about child birth that sucks for women I can list things that suck for men.

Who says ALL women apply those rules to men? Who says i want someone to pay for me on a date? That is your assumption, and i have been accused in this thread of gross generalisations- you just made loads. I'm not sure about your first one, primarily-because that view isn't held much here, at least i don't come across it often.

And lastly, if women want a child- you have to endure child birth and that IS painful- a lot of the things you listed are subjective. Overall, i do get your point though,

I agree with Rosie! I know when I go on dates I pay for it atleast 50% of the time! If he pays one time, I'll pay the next, or we'll split it. I know most my friends do the same! times are changing!

And also, maybe guys get prostate exams... but woman have to get breast exams. I know guys can get breast cancer too... not as likely as women though! And how would you like bleeding a week out of every month? lol, it's not fun!  And child birth is described as the most painful thing ever!

Ive discussed the pains of monthly cramps and childbirth with women and doctors.....The extent of the pain is mainly variable from one woman to another.  However the majority of people suffer from an ailment or serious injury at some point in there lifetime....We all suffer from pain and theres no way around it.  I see no reason whatsoever that women should have more rights than men because they have to suffer cramps and childbirth

Rosie, You said that i could ride my bike safely or not ride a bike at all....But if you WANT to have kids you must suffer the pain....Well if i WANT to have fun on my bike i HAVE to suffer the pain as well.......Its all based on the no pain no gain cliche....You want something more than the pain, then you deal with the pain to get what you want....If you want children, then you deal with the pain.  I believe in most cases the mother is more than willing and the pain is rather punitive when compared to the joys of raising a child and starting a family.

This is not a degrading statement and im not insulting women because they suffer something we dont, Im just saying that everything has its drawbacks and advantages...and in all honesty when a women is in pain she can whine and complain cuz when i get hurt i whine too! hehe....As long as a woman doesnt make men an icon of resent or hold a grudge against mankind because neither I  or any other man i know decided women should suffer the pains of childbirth,,,,its just how it is.  Kinda silly to argue about even =)

Lmao, too right mate- i can't believe we're having a discussion about whether riding your bike and hurting your nuts is more painful than childbirth. ahahah.

Generalizations exist for a reason.  Because they are true more often than not.  Just because there is an exception doesn't mean I can't make the generalization because you are, as the word implies, the EXCEPTION to the rule.

I don't believe in god. And I don't understand why god would even care if we believe in him or not. Why would he care if we worship him or not? He's god!

would you feel hurt if someone didn't believe in you? would you feel hurt if someone didn't care to accept you as for who you are or even loved you? Noone believed in him...

Thats right..he is god and his son died for us...because he doesloves us...and theres more where thats coming from..
Just because you can't see him or atleast have a little faith doesnt mean he isnt up there without feelings...etc.  but to say he doesn't exist is  selfish...because there is only one reason why someone would say that or think that way and that is the same reason why he had to die for us..(he gave us great things, you would not be here if it wasnt for him etc etc..so why not accept his love in return or atleast show some respect even if you can't accept it) :D  :amylee:

I always believed in him.. but i became closer to god last year for some reason, and i have christian friends now who are really wonderful  and supportive..(though no christian is perfect)..ever since i started feeling better about myself and i'm very happy.....i still question myself about some things but now that i started taking intrest in it more and realize its best for me... i intend to keep it that way...because there isnt any other way i can should or want to go..i guess it depends on the people you're surrounded by..really..

I'm not sure if i should say anymore ..i dont feel i need to debate here...(even if i am christian or not which i am to some extent and also very hard for me to hear someone say they don't belive in him is quite silly but understandable) Actually.. i think some people think he does exist..i just think they are afraid...why else would you keep talking about it..
Regardless, i  feel sorry for some of you...so you can sit there and say you dont care about it.or even continue to debate...it really isnt my problem but i hope someday that you just understand why you are here..
I never said He didn't exist. But still I just don't get it. He's god. Okay lets just say He did create the heavens and earth. Lets say He did send His son to die for us. So what? He should do those things out of the goodness of His heart not because of an ego trip. Everyday I try my best to help others, not because I want them to remember me but because that's who I am. If they don't remember me or believe in me or love me so what? I move on. I don't have many friends and I don't care. I know I exist. Who cares if they don't believe I exist. If He does exist and knows He exist He should just be happy. If He does exist He knows I've been a good person and He knows I didn't believe in Him. And if there is a heaven, are they not going to let me in because I didn't beleive in Him. "Sorry Sopheap, you've been a great person. Maybe one of the nicest there ever was but we can't let you in because you didn't believe in God." Ego trip. I wouldn't believe in a God like that. He should be happy that I try my best everyday and to judge me by that regardless if I believe in Him or not. But you are right, why don't I just believe in Him? He hasn't given me a reason to. I'm not this nice person because of God. It's because that's who I am. Jesus died for our sins. I wasn't even born. What sins did I do?
P.S. All you debating about pain. You're so off the subject. Debate somewhere else.

GeneraliSations (lol) can also become outdated and past it, maybe some of the ones you mentioned have to come to be reconsidered in recent years.

I think it's acceptable to be a little off-topic by page 14. Especially considering that most topics do well to last 14 posts on track :)

I agree on what you said about being a nice person because its who you are and not because you are trying to be good for a god.  However telling people to go somewhere else because you dont think they belong somewhere isnt all that kind
