Cor blimey! I'm proper awake now.  First cup of java and scones, and all that.

My boss is such a wanker.  He was supposed to be here an hour ago.

Is this a bovered face?!?

Hey! Speaking of british slang..... do you listen to the Streets?  Cause Rosie has been completely useless in figuring out what "Rammo in the main room" means.  Is rammo a DJ or something?  Or does that mean packed?  or what?

Yes I do listen to the streets. Involuntarily. Although I quite like the latest single "Blinded By The Light" (I have no excuses. I just do, okay).

Rosie's probably too posh. You need someone from a dive like Leicester to translate this kind of hardcore slang. Yeah, I'd say it almost certainly means  packed (aka rammed).

P.S. I've never met an Englishman that uses the word "java" (excluding references to the "programming language")

Well if you don't say Java, what do you say? Jo? or just coffee?

I'm still learning how to be English here.  Give me a break.

And the street RAWK.  The line is actually from that song, Blinded by the Light.  A Grand Don't Come For Free is an amazing album.  I just wish they got some legit airplay over here.

I did see one of their videos on TV once last month.  THe one for Don't Mug Yourself.

We don't. We have TEA of course! Although if we accidentally wander into a starbucks (because you can't take 3 steps without finding yourself in one) then we just say "coffee".

Keep listening to "The Streets" and you'll be fluent in no time :)

The streets is the absolute LAST thing I'd ever expect to take off in the U.S. But they seem to be doing pretty well. I can stand all their slow stuff. But when it gets any faster or harder, like Don't Mug Yourself, I'm not too impressed. But to each their own. At least they're a bit different.

Why? We love rap.  Besides, Lets Push THings Forward and Fit But You Know It both got some radio play here.

And critics here go NUTS for the Streets.  Same with Dizzee Rascal.  Critics love him here.

You'd be surprised what us yanks will listen to.

Good morning my lovely NESSAholics!  I hope everyone has a marvelous day!
