Hi people *waves*

I'm old school, I guess, so thought I'd pop by :)

To think I hadn't started uni when I joined this and now I'm all done and onto Grad School! 5 long years have gone by... wow

I've just discovered her (laaaate I know) and I absolutely LOVE 'The Vicodin Song', her voice sounds so vulnerable and so raw, and I love the lyrics.

I've only been listening for a week-ish and 'What Can I Say' is already on my iTunes Top 5. Really good stuff :)

Heh, don't worry, no offense taken! I absolutely loved Children of Men too, AND Dreamgirls (though not as much, it's a great film but I think it's been a bit overhyped, Children of Men on the other side, completely underrated). I don't really have a strong opinion on the artsy categories really, haven't given it much thought - though maybe Children of Men deserved cinematography more, you're right - I'm just happy cause they were Spanish, is all.

In terms of competition, I really think this year was one of the best of late, so many good films competing at a much higher level than many of the nominees in previous years.  Hopefully Hollywood will keep it up in years to come. I'm not counting on it though.

I was happy for Scorsese too :)

My happiest moments though were the two Oscars for Little Miss Sunshine (Alan Arkin as Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay for Michael Arndt). As much as I liked Jennifer Hudson on Dreamgirls, I would have preferred to see Abby Breslin win instead. I just adore that film so much, all the awards in the world wouldn't have been enough.

As for the rest, happy to see some Spanish people win for Pan's Labyrinth (it was a Spanish co-production and the people who won for make up and art direction - I think - were all Spanish), sad to see Das Leben Der Anderen take Best Foreign Film instead, but it was a good year for the Oscars all in all. One of the better ones in the last few years methinks.

I'm still alive! Sadly, I think my latest pictures date back to Nov&Dec, but still...

Out partying back in November. I'm not sad, I swear, I'm just very drunk :?  Twas a night to remember, that one

This is Salamanca in December

PS: Have I posted these before?  :? I'm not sure ...

So... who is it? You can choose whoever you think is hottest, or whoever you like in general, not only looks-wise. That way girls can vote too.

So... who do you think is the best piece of man candy walking around Seattle Grace?

I'm torn. Sheperd, Sloane or Karev...

They really can't kill Meredith... right?  :? spoiler:anyway i heard she doesn't die, but someone else does instead. probably her mum

Addison is great! Addison's Anatomy wouldn't be a bad idea. Still, I love Mer - she's my favourite character along with Cristina - so I wouldn't take her off the title ;) Callie and Izzy... blah. They each have their moments, so I'm never sure whether I like them or I'd like to hit them with a bat.

It was 30 days back when I got my license.  Now I think it's 6 months.  Needs to be closer to a full year IMO.

It's a year here. Sensible enough, I guess, but young people are still involved in many accidents.

It's actually quite hard to pass the driving test here (not the theory though), it's very common to fail at least once before passing.

I actually failed twice!

Hey Santi! Welcome!

I discovered him not long ago and wasn't extremely impressed. I mean, he's alright but I guess I was expecting more. He doesn't really stand out in the "boys with guitars" crowd for me.

I agree about the Chris Martin voice, though I wouldn't think his songs are better than Counting Crows' (I <3 <3 <3 them so it's hard for me to think anyone's songs are better than theirs!)

I have the same albums Steph!

He's odd... but I like him :) Very different from almost anything out there right now, yet really easy to listen to. His music's really grown on me.
