I'm a HUGE fan of Uh Huh Her

The CD Common Reaction comes out August 19, 2008!

Less than a week away. (Yes, Leisha Hailey from The L Word is one of the lead singers) But please don't buy the CD just because of that!

The songs are great, you can listen to some clips on myspace

check out the website here:
UH HUH HER

Please check them out and help out if you can.

Completely Off-Topic / Remind you of Vanessa?
« on: June 19, 2008, 08:06:30 pm »
I was at the Hollywood Improv last night for Pretty Funny Women night and this woman really reminded me of Vanessa, anyone else?

Bethany Dwyer

You don't have to watch the whole thing if you don't want to, I just really wanted to get opinions if she did remind anyone of Vanessa.

Hillary Clinton all the way for me.

I'm really happy that she won New Hampshire tonight.

Don't really care for any of the Republicans, but feel free to start another thread for any one of them.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Bionic Woman
« on: October 15, 2007, 10:43:27 pm »
Who else loves this show? I was studying for a math test and needed a break when it started and now I'm hooked. I absolutely love this show!

Struggling as a bartender and surrogate mom to her teenage sister, Jaime Sommers (Michelle Ryan, "EastEnders") didn't think life could get much harder. But when a devastating car accident leaves her at death's door, Jaime's only hope for survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology that comes at a hefty price.

With a whole new existence and a debt to re-pay, Jaime must figure out how to use her extraordinary abilities for good -- while weighing the personal sacrifices she will have to make. Ultimately, it's Jaime's journey of self-discovery and inner strength that will help her embrace her new life as the Bionic Woman in this new action-drama series.

Also starring are: Miguel Ferrer ("Crossing Jordan") as Jonas Bledsoe, the man who employs Jaime's boyfriend; Molly Price ("Third Watch") as Ruth Truewell, Jonas' second-in-command; Chris Bowers ("Rescue Me") as Will Anthros, Jaime's boyfriend, who performs the operation; Will Yun Lee ("Witchblade") as Jae Kim, the specialized operations leader; Lucy Kate Hale ("How I Met Your Mother"), as Jaime’s younger sister, Becca; and Mark Sheppard ("Battlestar Galatica") as Dr. Anthony Anthros, Will’s father and the man who originated the bionic technology.

"Bionic Woman" is produced by Universal Media Studios and executive-produced by David Eick ("Battlestar Galactica") and Jason Smilovic ("Lucky Number Slevin").

« on: October 07, 2007, 10:50:45 am »
I usually go once a month now to watch the "Pretty Funny Women" line up.

Does anyone else go here? I wanted to know if there were anymore shows worth seeing.

I'm being guest listed again for the next show, can't wait. Lisa Sundstedt is so nice.

I'll be there October 17, 2007. I'm pretty sure thats a Wednesday when the PFW show takes place. Hope to see you there... :D

Completely Off-Topic / Planning My 21st Birthday
« on: September 30, 2007, 09:48:41 pm »
I turn 21 in April and it usually lands on spring break, if it doesn't I'm still going to take a few days off.

First I was thinking of maybe going to Acapulco or something.

Then, I wanted to watch the Chippendales in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yes, yummy...But my aunt said the show wasn't that great.

But now, I was thinking of maybe visiting Milford, Pennsylvania, Vanessa's hometown since it was rated the #1 amazing/cool small town in America. But when I was looking up hotels and stuff all they had were like Comfort Inn's and little nasty motels that were rated pretty low. If you live in the area I would appreciate any help, it would honestly be a really fun trip.

Unless there are some other ideas?

I'm just really excited because when I turn 21 I will be able to do so much more!!

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Chelsea Handler (Comedian)
« on: July 16, 2007, 07:03:04 pm »
Chelsea Handler is the funniest woman alive, enough said!

She has a show "The Chelsea Handler Show" and a new show that premiers tonight, "Chelsea Lately" at 11:30/10:30c

I got tickets to her show for August 3rd at 3pm and someone from the show asked me for my contact information again for future segments! I'm so excited, I can't wait to see her show. I have to dress upscale and hip they said. :)

She has a book too, I've passed it around to all my friends and family so I forgot the title but I think its called "My collection of one night stands" Its really funny. I recommend you pick it up at your local bookstore, you may not be able to put it down. I know I could not.

Does anyone believe this 07-07-07 is a lucky/love day?

I don't believe in this, unless I happen to meet my dream man today which probably won't happen!

I'm not really into all that superstitious stuff.

Completely Off-Topic / Help?
« on: May 21, 2007, 07:20:56 pm »
Marla Sokoloff is playing a show in Hollywood on June 2nd and I really want to go.

Problem is its only 21+.

Does anyone in the Southern California area know where I can get a Fake California Identification card?

I'm willing to pay cash up front, I'm really hesitant about the online sites. Sending money through Western Union, I'm not doing that.

I'm desperate and crunched on time.

Please help!

Other Musicians / Emmy Rossum
« on: May 06, 2007, 05:49:58 pm »
So I found out she's coming out with an album that should be released Summer of '07.
I'm a fan of Emmy, but I'm a little skeptical about YET ANOTHER Actress turned Singer. I'm hoping for lyrics I can relate too with a great voice like the Phantom of the Opera. I don't want to get my hopes up though. Seems like everyone in Hollywood these days think they have musical talent and make a crappy album.
Well...I hope its good. I'll post any other news if I hear anything.

Completely Off-Topic / Vegan or Vegetarian?
« on: April 21, 2007, 08:55:02 am »
Well being Vegan is a complete plant based diet and Vegetarian isn't its more of just no red meat, chicken, fish. Are there any Vegans out there? I'm heading to the bookstore in a few minutes to see what I can find, I'm not going to eat red meat, chicken, or fish anymore. But I'm not fond of the taste of soy. so that interferes with me being vegan. anyway, I need some help! recipe books, books in general about the lifestyle of both, and personal experiences.
