I think heaven is life, if I were to die I would like to come back as a new person and start life all over again not even perfection is perfect.

I'm not talking about modern times where sin is an accepted thing.  I am talking about the setting of the garden of eden where supposedly there was no sin and life was perfect.  Mankind would never die nor want for food or happiness.

In this perfect place, WHY would God put something dangerous and evil?

I am not saying this affected Adam's free will in any way.  Adam could have still chosen not to eat the apples.  But what is the logical reason for placing something so harmful in eden?

Ah, I get you. The way I see it is that the tree wasn't evil in itself, only the action of eating from it against God's will. The evil was within Adam as a free agent and would be present with or without the tree. So why not place it? To not place it would just be God kidding himself that Adam would obey His command. Also the tree wasn't all that dangerous when viewed within Christianity's big picture. From the beginning God always intended to atone for that first sin and every sin since through Christ's crucifixion and ressurection. This atonement applies to all who want it, both those before and those after Christ's sacrafice. The atonement doesn't depend upon ourselves other than to take it or refuse it, so we can't spoil it again with our actions as Adam and Eve did. Instead it depends upon the grace and faithfulness of God. The danger of the tree (and all sin, for which the tree was a picture) is gone when viewed in the light of the Gospel later on. Like Will said in another thread, most people attempt to interpret Christianity with the (non-Christian) view that this life is all there is, and all that God has for us. When taken out of context like that things get messed up.

Debates aren't a bad thing. It's fun to pseudo-intellectualize and you always learn something you never knew previously. It's not as if anybody is throwing insults around. Besides, it's obvious from your history and this simplistic poll (that's been done many times before in one way or another) that you only started this thread to cause arguments anyway. You're now irrelevant to this thread except for being the troll that created it in vain.

But compared to eternity in the real hell (lake of fire and so forth), I'd prefer heaven.

Rev 21:1 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."

And it's not like an eternity just for your perfect place. There will be a whole new heaven and earth to explore, commune with God at every moment.

...or have the eternal pain and misery of hell.

lol i was just thinking the same thing. I mean, on the one hand, you have a perfect place. on the other, a shitty place. even though i get what scott and Andrew are saying, and maybe it would be boring, but i'd rather spend eternity being bored in a nice place than being bored in a crappy place.
